Born in Vienna/Austria on 28th of July 1957.
Studies at the „Wiener Musikgymnasium“, graduating 1976.


1979 until 1984 studies with Kurt Schwertsik at the Vienna Conservatory.


1984 until 1988 studies with Friedrich Cerha at the Vienna Music University.

Additional studies: violin; viola da gamba; „Zwölftonspiel“ (J. M Hauer);
Jazz-theory & arrangement at the Vienna Conservatory.

His 230 compositions have received more than 400 performances in London, Paris, Munich, Phildadelphia, Tokyo and many other cities.

Commissions by: Jeunesse, Ensemble Kreativ, Orpheus Trio, Ensemble Collage, ORF, Micro Oper München, Ensemble reconsil, Ensemble EST! and many others.
Represented on 11 CD’s.

1981 – founding of the "Jozquin-Ensemble Wien" (concerts in Austria, Germany and Italy)

1989 – founding of the „AMBITUS Group for New Music“, which has organised 105 concerts since 1990, which have included 650 works from nearly 200 composers. Of these, 280 have been world premieres.

Since 1984 he has composed music for at least 20 projects for the famous hand held puppet-theatre „Lilarum”.

Since 1990 he has been active in organising creative projects with handicapped people, which all delve on the subject of the living conditions of marginalized groups as well as writing music for films, poems, videoclips, comics and more than 20 interactive music theatre projects.
