María Misael Gauchat (Argentina)
María Misael Gauchat is an Argentinian composer, born in 1983. In 2007, she has a
University Degree in Musical Composition in the “Instituto Superior de Música ‐
Universidad Nacional del Litoral (Santa Fe)”. Also she took Electroacustic Music classes in
the same university. En 2011, she has the "Prix d'Excellence" in Composition with Thierry
Blondeau as a professor in the CDR de Aulnay‐sous‐Bois (France).
She has taken composition classes with Jorge Horst, Antonio Gómez Schneekloth and
masterclass with Saori Furukawa (violin), Hitomi Kaneko, Stefano Gervasoni, between
others.
She has presented her music in Argentina, Chile, Spain and France and has been awarded
mentions and prices in composition as “TRIME (Tribuna de Música Electroacústica)”,
International Composer Competition "Atahualpa Yupanqui", International Composer
Competition "Se buscan compositores novelles" (Spain).
Between 2005 and 2009 she was the artistic director and percussionist of “Ensamble
Musas”.
She currently resides in Paris (France). She studied at the CRR of Reims (with Daniel
D'adamo) and at the CRD of Blanc‐Mesnil (with Thierry Blondeau).
